You feel a deep calling to serve God through ministry--a divine directive paving the way to your vocation.

And as a current or aspiring spiritual leader in a changing culture, you face complicated situations daily. You recognize a need for new solutions, skills, and knowledge that will match the challenges and opportunities in our world today.

PLNU’s Master of Ministry program offers you the tools to lead in a church or ministry context. The program explores Christian formation, Scripture, the Church in mission, and Christian tradition—all with a focus on application in local ministry.

Theological and Practical Knowledge

PLNU’s Master of Ministry offers strong theological teaching through a Wesleyan lens combined with the practical skills and knowledge needed to serve others in ministry. Learn from active and regularly published faculty members alongside other practicing and aspiring ministry leaders.

Continue Serving While Earning Your Degree

You can start the program during the fall, spring, or summer and complete it in three years. The curriculum is taught through hybrid courses, each including a weeklong intensive, that will allow you to balance your personal, professional, and ministry commitments while earning your degree.

A Commitment to Mission

PLNU’s tuition is among the lowest charged by accredited programs, reflecting PLNU’s commitment to the continuing education of church leaders.

Program Overview

The program includes a Wesleyan emphasis, but all Christian traditions are welcomed and will be well served by the program. A hospitality of ideas and other traditions is an important part of a Wesleyan perspective.

The one-week intensive structure of the PLNU Master of Ministry program allows me to balance both ministry and scholastic pursuits. I am able to make my Wednesday and Sunday commitments while still being in class. Likewise, the online coursework before and after the one-week intensive is designed to work around my schedule and as a bi-vocational pastor, this has been extremely important for my ability to complete courses.
